Holiday Happenings A Cold Event

Last Saturday was the 2013 Holiday Happenings at Eddy Street Commons.  I was Twisting in a 3 sided tent with a large propane heater ... it was still cold ... 23 degrees with a light wind blowing.  I thought I would start with the 350 balloons as they are easier to tie, but still had to do it with no gloves on. This FUN family wanted the Santa and Elf hats !  Maybe next year they will put me inside one of the stores ... hint ... hint.

ND Home Games Twisting

Notre Dame University Relations hired me to work the Friday before all the home games in the Hospitality Visitors Tent.  Most of the time I was too busy for photos, but as the weather got colder less fans showed up.  The 2 ladies were from California and were making the most of their ND visit.  I also made a lot of Blue & Gold Wrist Corsages.

Busy Fall

I've worked a couple of events this month at Chick-fil-A and had a Great time.  Oct 5th was the Fall Crafter's Fair in Shipshewana and that was a 7.5 hour gig.  A bit too long as my wrist tendons were really sore that evening, but had cleared up the next day.  No gigs this Saturday ... Wooooo Hooooo !

My Minion

This one is for my cousin Viv who mentioned she hasn't seen many new balloons pics.  This one also has my branding on it as there are a few unprofessional balloon twisters that have copied other pics and claimed them as their own.  And life goes on.  Tomorrow is Opening Mass Picnic here at ND (Sorry Viv) and I always have a great time twisting for it. 

Dig Into Reading Summer Build

Nine Twisters spent yesterday (June 6, 2013) twisting balloons for the Mishawaka Library's Summer reading program.  We had a Fun time, but put in a long day. The Library's Children Department saved me some out of circulation books to help decorate our display area.

Next Tuesday (June 11) I am back at the Library teaching a Balloon Twisting Workshop for the kid's reading program.
