Late Again ... by a month or two

How is it that Life gets so busy ... even when you have a slow month of twisting ???  January is always a slow month for me with only a couple of gigs, so you would think I have more time to upload photos and let you know where I will be twisting.  Oh !  Wait ... it's all my grandson fault ... yeah ... that's the ticket.  He asked if I was going to make a Jeep for my Pinewood Derby car this year.  

  Then there was the Youth Valentine Dance they asked me to decorate for.

Hummm ... almost forgot Feb Twister's meeting.

And Then a Birthday delivery for a female Patriotic ND student.

Yep .... that about wraps up February 2013.

Kid's Night at Chick-Fil-A

 

Chick-Fil-A  called and asked if I would do a Kid's Night on November 15th ... Of course I said YES.

A Cold November

I had to scrape frost off the windshield of my Jeep this morning ... AARRRRRRRRGH !  I am NOT ready for cold weather.  OK ... enough ranting.  I am back on track with my exercise program and my blog posting.

Last Thursday was our Michiana Balloon Twisters November's meeting and we had a GREAT time.  These are some of the designs we worked on.  I should put some kind of size reference in the photos, as the Parrot is about 20" tall and the Hippo is only about 9".  I really like the detail in the Hulks torso.

Next project is a new backpack design I learned on-line.  I made a Helicopter backpack and didn't get a photo of it before Batman took it back to his dorm.  In that series of designs is a fantastic Jet Pack ... can't wait to get a birthday party and have all them flying around the place !

Been Busy

Here it is August already.  I have designed a way to help end my lines at balloon twisting events.  I went to fedex kinko's and had them printed and padded.  Now when I'm ready to end my line I hand out the 100 bucks and my announcement becomes I am ending my line and balloons are now 100 bucks !  I ask for their 100 bucks, mark it on the back and give it back to them.

Race For The Cure 2012

I had a great time twisting for the 2012 Race For The Cure on April 28th at the Coveleski Stadium.  It was kind of cold and wet as it rained for a bit, but spirits were high and I made some FUN balloons.  It was so cold I had to twisting in HYPER SPEED to keep warm.  Well ... that's what it looks like from these photos !

April Fool's

That's what happened to my March post ... some April Fool took it.  That's my story and I'm sticking to it !  
My Alma mater ... Southwester Michigan College has a Campus Bash that they invite me to twist for.  This is the second year and I really have a GREAT time.  College kids come up with some interesting requests.  Here are two of them ... a Jellyfish and a Pegasus.

February's Gone

As all good intentions go ... unless you keep track of those goals ... then they slip by. So here I am posting February's post on March 2nd. Sigh !

I worked a gig in Elkhart for a company health fair on February 4th. Besides wanting me to twist for their event they also wanted some decor to set around, so they gave me a decorating budget. The theme was Winter Festival and said "Just surprise us" ... got to love that ! This is what I came up with and they really seemed to enjoy them.

We've had such a mild winter and some great sunny days ... but still looking forward to T-shirt weather.
